I thought I would post a little glimpse at some
fun fabric I using on a project. I fell in love with it when I saw it. Of course I don't need anything, but I couldn't pass it up. I am making a
birdie sling for myself. I had intentions to work on it this week after D goes down...but that darn four letter word is again, getting in the way? It starts with a W and ends with a K.

For many of you readers who know me well, you know that I used to hate strawberries! WEIRD, I know, but it was a texture thing. Well, now I love them. Especially the ones from the farmers market.
I have a wonderful recipe for Strawberry Tartlets I thought I would share. Like all the recipes I love, this one is tasty and easy. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Strawberry Tartlets:
12 wonton wrappers (in case your wondering where in the grocery store these are, the refrigerated veggie area)
3 T butter, melted
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup Mascarpone cheese
2 T honey
2 t orange juice
3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Whipped cream and fresh mint, both optional
1. Place brown sugar in a shallow bowl
2. Brush one side of each wonton wrapper with butter. Place in bowl with brown sugar to coat.
3. Press wonton sugar side up into greased mini muffin tin.
4. Bake at 325 degrees for 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
5. Remove to wire rack and cool.
6. In a bowl, combine cheese, honey and orange juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.
7. Spoon about 1 T of mixture into each wonton cup.
8. Top with strawberries and whip/mint if desired.
Makes 1 dozen.
